    • Using the platform of collegiate athletics to give back to the community in a variety of ways

  • NCAA DI Collegiate Student-Athlete

    • Commit intense hours on a daily basis to ensure excellence on the mat and in the classroom through skill development of time management, organization, sacrifice and dedication

    • Lead team in volunteering, help coordinate team activities/dinners, and provide guidance to underclassmen as they acclimate to the rigors of intercollegiate athletics

 

Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)                                                                        September 2015 – Present

  • SAAC executive board member  (April 2016 – Present)

    • Campus Outreach Chair

      • Elected by student body to serve as community outreach chair

      • Main duties include reaching out to campus and community to find ways to connect UW student-athletes with the student body

      • Supervised a sub-committee to coordinate a monthly meeting based on selected topic

    • Voting Representative  (September 2015 – April 2016)

      • Attended monthly SAAC meetings and represented the wrestling team with a vote on NCAA legislation and  issues directly related to the student-athlete experience

Communication

  • Developed marketing messages, marketing strategies and campaign evaluations through many course projects

    • Worked with Salvation Army of Dane County, Assist Wisconsin and Stealth Solutions, LLC

      • Was able to increase the Red Kettle Bell impressions by 5,000% for that year (Salvation Army project)

    • Also developed several campaign strategies from scratch for group projects

  • Skills in marketing and communication on all social media platforms as well as traditions platforms

    • Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snap Chat, 

    • Skills in written radio ads, commercial mock ups, and video production

    • Looked at media buys/packages for business advertising, Spotify, Pandora, and email blasts

      • Reached out to campaigns for their media buy packages so we could implement them into a realistic campaign for the projects

Website Design

  • Learned what an effective and well-designed website looks like and what concepts are incorporated in it

    • Entry level knowledge of HTML/CSS coding

    • Paired with a client in a class and redesigned their website so that it is up to date and more user friendly.
